Awards up to $1,000. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage students interested in international issues to study abroad and pursue graduate or post-graduate degrees.

The awards are granted by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Scholarships from IIE may be used for any field of study, including graduate programs.The International Studies Scholarship Program is open to all students, undergraduate and graduate degree candidates.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited institution in the United States or its territories (e.g., Puerto Rico) that offers a degree within the following disciplines: anthropology; area studies; economics; politics or international relations; or sociology with a primary concentration in one of these areas .Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing (2.0 or better) as determined by their academic institution.Eligible applicants must not have applied for and been denied admission to the School of International Service, the School of Public Affairs, or any other program offered through Georgetown University Law Center within the past five years.Eligible applicants must submit an essay of 500-1,000 words addressing why they think their education would be a positive addition to.
