The question of how I got to this point in my life has always intrigued me.
I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. My parents were both teachers and very active in the community. They were always volunteering for something or other, and I was always coming along with them.
We would go to the library, help out at the soup kitchen, or just walk around town and talk to people about their lives. My parents taught me that everyone’s story is worth listening to and that we should never judge someone until we’ve walked a mile in their shoes What is your favorite class that you teach?A: My favorite class to teach is usually Language Arts but I also enjoy being able to share more advanced writing.
I guess it was inevitable that I would become a teacher myself, but my path wasn’t as straightforward as you might think. First, I got my bachelor’s degree from Penn State University then went on to get my masters degree from Columbia University.
